4-8-2024 Interview with the beyond multi-talented Michael Raver, who is currently using his exquisite acting skills to inhabit Haskell, “The Immigrant,” A refugee from a Russian pogrom, and survivor of what must have seemed like an unending ship ride in steerage, to arrive at a tiny Texas town with nothing. Trying to scrape together enough to just survive, pushing a heavy cart filled with banana’s “a penny a piece” – which is all the English language he has.
The play, which is currently running at Sarasota Jewish Theater, is not to be missed, but neither is Michael’s incredible performance.
